I Am With You - Always

 November 28 2025

The most repeated promise in the Bible is “I am with you always.” A promise repeated to so many different people, in so many different situations and circumstances. But always the promise, “I am with you always.”  He travels with us, no matter what our journey, or how long it is, supports us through every storm and doesn’t stand at a distance.

We may not see Him at work, or sense His presence, but His promise of friendship is a covenant based on His unending love for us.

His love for us is unending, constant, and so patient. When Jesus came to earth to live as a human being, He faced situations we can all relate to. So He knows, He understands, and He wants to reassure us of His promise to be with us always.

All through the Bible – so many in Psalms, and here are some of my favourites. (All scripture shown is NKJV)

Lamentations 3:22-23

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.”

 Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

With Christ We Are Never Alone

 Isaiah 43:2, 3

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

 Jeremiah 42:11

“’Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; do not be afraid of him,’  says the LORD, ‘for I am with you, to save you and deliver you from His hand.”

 Zephaniah 3:17 (my favourite verse!)

“The LORD you God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

 Matthew 28:20

“ … and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

 John 14:16-17

“And I  will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever,”

 Hebrews 13:5

“… For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

 Romans 8:38-39

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.”

“I am with you always” speaks straight to our fears, our anxieties, doubts and sufferings. But knowing that the very same God who created the universe and everything in it, including YOU, leads us, and empowers us from within, should provide a calm, a peace, a serenity – no matter what obstacles we face.

Our Almighty God is your comforter, protector and constant support in whatever season you are walking through. Remind yourself that He IS with you, always, by being in the Word, with prayer, and letting Him speak to you.

May the Grace and Peace of our LORD be with you today, and always. To God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever!

 In His name, with love

What, or Who, Influences Your Way of Thinking

 November 8 2025

Did you know that Satan isn’t opposed to you being good, or having morals?

Let me repeat that – Satan is not opposed to you being a good person. What he is opposed to is Jesus Christ and those who have accepted Him.  But fellow Christians – do YOU understand this?

Really, Satan doesn’t care if you think you’re a good person, or in fact, if you ARE a good person. All your good works – volunteering, being kind to a neighbour, having integrity - he doesn't care.

He cares how you follow Christ. If you bow your knee to Him and acknowledge Him as your Saviour and Lord of your life.

Satan is the father of lies, the master of deceit and deception. He gets a medal for having convinced us that morality is on an equal level with spirituality.  How many of you think being a good person is the same as being Christian? You feel you’re okay with God if you treat others well, and have managed to avoid the big sins, and therefore your reward in Heaven is a given.

What a horrible lie, a lie that has misled so many. Remember the Pharisees – poster children for impeccable morals, following the law to the inth degree. Oh yes, they were respected because of their religious devotion. What did Jesus call them? Read through Matthew 23 – His absolute scathing scorn of them and their practices speaks volumes! He calls them blind, hypocrites, fools.

Their morals weren’t bad, but they replaced Christ. Morality can’t save you, but Christ can.

Satan is a trickster of the highest order, adept at fooling good people into thinking they have no need of a saviour.

Do you fit into one of these categories:

An atheist who does good works, making him feel good in himself and therefore has no need of God.

Or those who follow Buddhism – meditating, doing no harm, feeling enlightened without Christ.

A Muslim who prays five times a day, but not to Jesus, and still feels righteous.

Or, and probably even worse, an upstanding Christian, moral, regular church goer, even tithes. And doesn’t see any need to surrender to the Living Christ. (Side note, Buddha and Mohammed are dead – of what help are they?)

Jesus saves, through Grace, through the freely offered gift of salvation.  “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”  (Eph 2:8-9 NKJV)

There’s no argument that you can be kind, compassionate, generous, and respected if you’ve never accepted Jesus. But that leaves you lost. You know, your soul is eternal, it is your choice where your soul will reside for eternity – with Christ or separated from Him, forever, in hell.

Imagine your shock at finding yourself in Hell and trying to argue (too late) that you were an upstanding citizens, a good parent, never broke a law – but you also NEVER accepted Christ.

All the enemy needs to do to accomplish his goal is to keep you from that ONE thing that is of eternal value – accepting and surrendering yourself to Christ.  It’s so easy for him once he gets you to trust in your own morals and good behaviour instead of Christ’s sacrifice. And bingo, then you believe in your own works instead of Christ’s finished work on the cross.

Satan wins. Morality and good works without faith means he sees you in hell and smiles.

Please, this is serious – most people I know, outside of my faith circle, see themselves as good people, and yes, I’d agree they are. But they are missing out on one vital, eternity-changing piece. Accepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

Is this you – take stock. You can’t rest on your good behaviour. Your eternal future is not worth that kind of gamble – only the precious blood of Jesus can wash away your sins, make you new and acceptable to God. God, who wants NONE to perish, wants to gather you into His arms when your physical life is over.

Don’t be distracted by Satan’s lies – his time is short and these days he is scrabbling and scratching at so many under the guise of feel-good emptiness.

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”  (James 4:7,8  NKJV)

In this moment – right now, you can make the decision – and pray:

“Dear LORD Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and that You rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask You not my heart and my life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour. In Your Name, I pray.  Amen”

I pray Satan will not be the victor in your life.

In His name, with love,

Question To Ponder

November 2 2025

You’ve probably heard the oft-quoted phrase “What would Jesus do?” (WWJD), but today I heard a question during a sermon message that goes even deeper than that.

How at home would Jesus feel with you?

The distractions and pulls of this world are always there – even (or maybe especially) for Christians. The enemy can certainly use distraction as a way to draw our focus away from living a life that is pleasing to God.

Asking, “What would Jesus do?” is always a good guideline when facing a decision, but the more your walk with Him grows, the less often the question should surface.

But would He be comfortable in my home? Even though He certainly is able to always see us, this question raises that knowledge to a more immediate and personal level.

Would He be happy to sit beside me and watch what I’m seeing on the TV or my social media comments on the computer? What about the friends I spend time with, the words being spoken. Would He be happy listening to how I might speak about people not there – behind their back?

For me, this reinforces the fact that as a Christian, it’s a 24/7 way of life. Not just for Sundays, not just for when I’m with other believers, but ALL the time.

I’ve been baptized for nearly 40 years, but what I have been learning, and finally understanding, over the last two or three years has shown me just how little I did know. I am open to the Holy Spirit revealing new things, seeing the world more from God’s eyes, and I know I have a very long way to go!  Making me extremely thankful that His mercies are new every morning!

To answer the question, I think I’d be more comfortable with Him in my home now than I would have been twenty or ten years ago, but if I knew He was coming for a visit, there’d still be a few corners to clean and some spiritual dusting required.

Moving forward, though, I will try and live my life as if He were to be in my home. But wait, reality check. He IS in my home, but more importantly, He is in my heart. I think you know what I mean, though.

So, how about you? If you believe in God, in Jesus - would He be comfortable spending a day with you in your home?

Something to think about.

In His Name, with love
