Imagine it’s a normal day in your normal
life. You’re in the grocery store, or at work.
Riding in a crowded elevator, or at your child’s school presentation. Maybe
you’re at the concert you’ve waited so long to attend– loud, noisy, full of
energy.
Suddenly, without warning a loud sound,
like a trumpet, cuts through and rises above the deafening and pounding beat of
the band on stage. So loud if you’re at home, the walls tremble and you drop
the mug full of hot coffee, or the beer, you were about to enjoy.
Before your brain can make sense of the
sound, you realise something incomprehensible is happening. All around you
people have disappeared. Vanished, without a sound. Gone.
Your knees go weak and in flash, you know.
Because your mother, your friend, your co-worker told you. Images of all the
reels on Facebook and TikTok warning of this run through your paralysed brain.
It’s the Rapture, and you’ve missed out and
are left behind. You frantically start calling those in your contact list who’ve
ever mentioned anything remotely religious. You need answers, but no one is
picking up.
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV
How would you feel? Have some of your family gone? Neighbours,
classmates. And perhaps worst case scenario – you’ve been sitting in church,
enjoying a sermon and now find you are one of a handful sitting in a silent
building - left behind. Yes, you went to church, but never made the commitment to Jesus, to
ask Him into your life. Acknowledging your sins and that you need Him.
Don’t be complacent, or think it’s not going to happen in your lifetime. Maybe it won’t but is that a risk you’re willing to take? And you don’t know when your last breath, or heartbeat will be - do you?
"But of that day and hour no one knows,
not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36
Jesus loves YOU, and whether or not you
believe in the Rapture, it’s going to happen.
Right now, as you are reading this, if you
feel something moving in your heart, it’s Christ. He’s knocking, but He won’t
force Himself. It’s your choice. But you can, right this minute, make the
decision.
Pray something like this:
“I accept you, Lord Jesus, as my Saviour.
Please cleanse me from my sin, and create a new heart in me. Thank you for
dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins, and giving me the gift of
eternal life. Amen”
And then if you can, let someone know,
someone who will rejoice with you and who will pray for you as you start a new
life. Or please, email me and I will rejoice with you! Lizlindsay528@yahoo.com
