1 John only contains 5 chapters, but within
it, John shows different forms of the word love 46 times! God
inspired him to show people the value and importance of love in their Christian
walk.
Once a person decides to follow Christ,
accepts His gift of salvation and surrenders to Him, there is a negative
reaction in the spiritual realm. The enemy of all Christians, Satan, will hate
you and will do everything in his power to discourage you, distract you, and
pull you away from Christ. His specialty is the destruction of marriages and
families. (Ephesians 2:2,3 – He is the prince of the power of the air.) He is the god of this age. Influencing your thoughts, knowing what emotional buttons to push. Whatever he
can do to take you down with him. Remember, Christ is the Prince of Peace.
But if you are born of Christ, you have the
Holy Spirit within you, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t share space.
God is love – but Satan? Here’s how he works – be aware of his strategy
and schemes, or risk falling prey to hm and losing everything of eternal value.
And probably his greatest tool is having
people, society, believe he is ineffective, or of no influence in your personal
life, in your government, in the media.
But if you believe there is a God, then by default there is a
devil. And loser that he is, he knows
his time is short and he prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to
devour. 1 Peter 5:8.
Will he devour you? Or will you give your
life to Christ and be equipped to resist the enemy and his demons?
