Christmas

December 17 2024

Christmas is almost upon us. But it feels different, to me, this year. Gathering with family will be important - it always is. Perhaps it has to do with how the world is turning more ugly. Too many incidents of growing antisemitism grieve me. This past year I've developed a much greater appreciation for the the people of Israel.

I've always known they are the apple of God's eye. Prophecy and end time events centre around this tiny piece of land in the Middle East. What they have accomplished this year has shown God's hand is on them in a mighty way. Since the 'pager attack' of September this year, I have been riveted to what Israel has been doing to those who would see her eliminated. That they have survived so many rocket and drone attacks from all sides is nothing short of miraculous.

And so, Israel, birthplace of my Messiah, my Saviour, Yeshua has, with God's mighty hand, shown herself strong and determined in the face of her enemies. God triumphs and to Him be the Glory!

I feel I've been given a renewed interest in Bible Study and that God has brought across my path a handful of bold voices, who love and support Israel.

Among them are the Couple from Galilee   - Deb and Noam Cohen (Declaring Zion International), Amir Tsarfati (Behold Israel), and Pastor Gary Hamrick (Cornerstone Chapel). Their voices resonate with me - as does Jonathan Cahn   (these are all YouTube links).

As God directs I want to become more bold myself - time grows short and I want as many people as possible to be aware of the Gospel and to receive salvation. If Satan, the enemy of God's children, wants to draw as many away from Him as possible, then I want to counter balance that and get as many as I can to see they need to make a choice - for God and for their eternity. EVERYTHING depends on that choice!  Where do you want to spend eternity? I'm sure you must think about it, and if you brush it off thinking this life is it, you die and that's the end of the story, please reconsider. Don't squander your chance.

Yes, Christmas approaches and it's message is clear:

So if you haven't already received and accepted this free, and costly, gift from God, my Christmas prayer is that you will. there is so much love and forgiveness available with this gift, why would I not want everyone to have it?

Merry Christmas!   and Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!

Liz
